On the stage of

Orchestra Hall, Chicago

December 11, 2007

On December 11, 2007, Mark Elder conducted the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in the music of Delius, Sibelius (2nd Symphony), Brahms (Double Concerto), and Webern's "Five Pieces for Orchestra." After the concert ended, interested audience members were invited to sit on the stage to hear a talk from Elder about the Webern, followed by a 2nd performance of the work. It was an exceptional experience. Here are a few brief snippets I caught while the audience was being seated on the stage and the musicians were getting prepared.
